How to Disable Favicons to Speed Up Safari

Safari is debatably one of the fastest browsers on the web. When you first start using it, you're typically blown away by the speed...but before long, it slows down. After prolonged use, it can even come to a complete stop! Part of the reason for this is the favicon database - a collection of tiny webpage icons. This database isn't easily cleaned and given the small size of the icons is actually pretty unnecessary. This article will show you a quick way to get your speed back by disabling the favicon database and instead loading the icons normally.

How to Disable Apple's iPhone App Kill Switch

Every iPhone has a built in kill switch that allows Apple to disable any app store application it wants. If they find an application on your device that they don't like, they can instantly disable it. Maybe you've found that a recently downloaded iPhone app has stopped working. Maybe you live in fear that Apple will remotely disable your favorite application. How to Kill, Block, Redirect, and/or Stop the Diggbar



Digg recently created the "DiggBar," an html toolbar that frames each subsequent website click in such a way that Digg benefits from the traffic. While the bar remains on a user's screen, they loose the ability to truly bookmark a site or view the real URL. Instead, all navigation is manipulated to benefit digg and their advertisers. Thankfully there are now several methods to stop Digg from taking advantage of your website.
